Class of ‘75 is an acoustic harmony duo consisting
of Dorothy LeBlanc and Kim Mollere.  The name
was selected because the two graduated from
St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, LA in
1975.  The name honors the period which set
them on their life’s journey, personally and
musically.

Class of ’75 blends instruments and voices to
perform songs from a catalog that spans from
the 1940’s to present, along with several of
Dorothy’s originals.  The influence of seventies
icons such as Joni Mitchell, John Denver, The
Eagles, and America is easily recognizable.  The
vocal influence of the Indigo Girls is evident as
the pair trade harmonies and melodies.  The
mixture of guitar, mandolin, and bass compliments
the vocals and while allowing each instrument to
add its own musical voice.

You may know Dorothy .  This self-described
“mommy turned singer/songwriter” began her
professional musical career in 2003, after
tackling a pesky run-in with breast cancer.  She
is probably best known around the Baton Rouge
area as children’s musician Mrs. Dorothy, though
that is not her only focus.  She also performs
the wonderful music of the early to mid-1900s
to audiences of senior citizens.  In 2006, she
paired with Mike Whitney to form the rootsy
guy/girl duo called The Buskers.  Songwriting
continues to be a passion, and you will hear Class
of 75 perform some of her original tunes.

Kim’s love of music began when she saw “The
Sound of Music” when she was six years old.
Her first official performance was in her fourth
grade talent contest.  Since then her love of
music and performing has continued to grow.  She
spent most of the 1990’s singing and playing in
Baton Rouge cover bands Kut-n-Loose and Full
House.  In 1992, she was a finalist on Nashville’
s You Can Be A Star.  After being away from
the music scene for much too long, Kim is excited
to pickup her guitar again to perform the music
that she loves with such a talented singer and
songwriter.
